This artist's work primarily explores the vast area between the abstract and the real. A nostalgic quality is continously present, be it a representation of a personal situation or an appropriated event. The familiarity ranges from pleasant to melancholy, sometimes even disturbing. The identity of the characters as well as their surroundings are masked. The viewer becomes the artist and interpreter, calculating their own vision of a situation. Ultimately there is no concrete story to the painting, only a basis for imagination and exploration.
